The 'Who' and 'Why' of Webmaster Uncle Al!

Why I call myself Uncle Al.

Hi, my name is Alfred.  When I began to ponder the ideas that were to become Play2wealth.com, my first thought was that I had to share this vital information with my family's next generation of gamers -- my kids, nieces and nephews; and, since my kids are outnumbered four (4) to one (1) by their cousins; therefore, I have chosen to refer to myself as Uncle Al.

Who is Webmaster Uncle Al?

Born and raised in New York City, I am a married 40 year old parent, uncle and son.

Like most people, I grew up playing all sorts of games, in all kinds of categories -- from sports, to board games, to card games, to video games.  And, at my age, I still enjoy playing games.  So, I am also, what I call, a Parent-Gamer.  (I'm sure that my kids like the fact that I play video games with them; my wife, on the other hand, couldn't care less about it -- and that's OK.)  All totaled, I have, more than 30 years of gaming experience.

I am also very experienced in helping people.  I enjoy helping people; and, I have been doing a job that has allowed me to help people for more than 18 years.  (My name is actually supposed to mean helper or counselor, or something like that.)

Well, that's enough about me, isn't it?  Don't you really want to know what lead me to created the Play2wealth web site?

Why I felt the need to create Play2wealth.com.

After I had read several of the books in Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad, Poor Dad series, I decided to buy and try his patented inventions -- his Cashflow board games; it was only natural since I have loved playing games all my life!  I found that his games actually showed me in black and white, (and in color, too,) that, by doing the things that rich people do, anyone, in any profession, could achieve financial freedom!

And then, after I had played Dr. Van Tharp's Secrets of the Masters Trading Game, which I had downloaded from www.iitm.com, I was able to see just how big a difference it makes when you actually know what you are doing as opposed to just taking dangerous chances in the markets.

Through these games, after all my years of game-playing, I finally came to recognize the true value of gaming!  I even started to see the lessons that I had overlooked while playing all of the many different entertainment-only games that I have played!

I immediately felt, (and I feel today,) that these new found insights, that I received after playing these wealth-building games, would be helpful to people and that they needed to be shared with my family, my friends, and with anyone who would listen.

And, finally, the urgency and importance of this information became clear to me after I had read a few news stories; which seemed to be pointing to troubled times ahead for people who would rather leave their financial future in the hand's of their employers, their investment managers and the social security system.

From all of these considerations came the creation of Play2wealth.com. -- Webmaster Uncle Al
