Avoid These Game-Player Pitfalls!

Game-Player pitfalls!

Perfectionism!

Have you ever finished a game level and, instead of saving the game and continuing on to the next level, you reloaded that level from the beginning just because you missed one small detail?  Or, have you ever kept quitting and restarting a race because you kept crashing on the first turn? -- This is pure perfectionism; and, it can greatly hinder your ability to advance.  Take the racing example, for example:  If you continue to play, even though you're having trouble with that first turn, then, at least you could pick up some driving skills over the remainder of the race track.  (And, who knows?  You might even become so skilled that you would be able to handle that first turn in the future.)  However, for as long as you would refuse to continue to race beyond that first turn, you would not be experiencing the rest of the course.  And, so, once you finally decide to move on, then you would have to face "turn 2" for the first time!

This is one vice that an arcade game-player can not afford to have; unless he/she is willing to waste a whole lot of quarters!
